Deloitte Technology Fast 50
Retail Assist attributes its 310% revenue growth to its retail sector empathy and relationship building.
Retail Assist today announced that it ranked Number 17 in the 2004 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the fastest growing technology companies in the Midlands.
Rankings are based upon average percentage revenue growth over five years, from 1999-2003. Retail Assist grew 310% during this period.
Retail Assist's Managing Director, Alan Morris, credits its experience of and empathy with the retail sector, together with the strong relationships it has built with retail clients, with the company's 310% revenue growth over the past five years.
He said, "During this period, a number of factors have encouraged retailers to look upon outsourced IT services as the way forward. With this approach, they gain access to high levels of sector and technology expertise, at costing levels that would be hard to match using in-house resources."
"Growing the top line enough to make the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is especially meaningful during tough economic times for the technology sector," said Chris Robertson, partner in charge of Deloitte's Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group in the Midlands.
"We congratulate Retail Assist on becoming one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the Midlands."
Andrew Hornigold, Head of Technology Chosen Market Group at law firm Pinsents who sponsored the awards, said, "The Fast 50 Awards is an extremely competitive programme and we salute this year's winners for consistently demonstrating phenomenal growth over the last five years, particularly in the face of increased international competition. Once again, the standard of the entrants was extremely high, confirming the strength and resilience of the region's technology industry."
Overall, companies that ranked on the 2004 Midlands Technology Fast 50 had a combined turnover of £2.6 billion.
