New hardware contract with Ottakars
Nottinghamshire-based retail IT services specialists Retail Assist have secured an additional contract with one of their longest standing clients to maintain and support hardware for its three main office operations.Ottakar's, one of the UK's largest chains of bookstores with around 80 locations nationwide, has awarded the company a contract for hardware maintenance involving both PCs and servers at its offices in Salisbury, Gloucester and London.
Retail Assist already provides ongoing IT Help Desk software and applications support to Ottakar's, which has proved to be highly successful. This new contract will see Retail Assist offer a similar service for the management and rectification of hardware issues within agreed service levels.
Retail Assist also managed the creation of a 'demilitarised zone' within Ottakar's server network following a wide-ranging review of Ottakar's IT strategy earlier in the year.
Retail Assist Business Development Director Alan Morris commented: "Our relationship with Ottakar's continues to develop and we are delighted to be able to assist them further through the new hardware maintenance contract.
