Raising money for children's charities

The staff of Nottingham-based retail IT services company, Retail Assist, have once again pulled out the stops to raise funds for a local children's charity, Rainbows Children's Hospice. Rainbows Children's Hospice is Retail Assist's selected charity and their recent donation of £1,000 brings their contribution so far to £2,250.

Rainbows is located in Loughborough and is the children's hospice for the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. It provides respite, palliative and terminal care to families who have a child with a life-limiting illness.

Fundraising for children's charities in the past month has also included Retail Assist maintaining its 5-year tradition of co-hosting a Golf Tournament with its customer Adams Childrenswear. Generous support from the two companies and from their business partners resulted in over £11,500 being raised for the charity Wellchild.

Wellchild is the UK's leading children's charity for health and wellbeing. With a mission to raise awareness of children's healthcare and make every child as healthy as possible, it researches treatments and cures for childhood illnesses, and gives help, advice and support for sick children and their families.

Retail Assist's next planned contribution for a children's charity will come from sponsorship of a company employee and his two friends who are running the New York Marathon in November.
