Raising over £5000 for Save the Children

A total of £ 5400 has been raised for Save the Children at a charity golf day co-hosted by Nottinghamshire-based retail IT services specialists Retail Assist and Adams Childrenswear.

The event, now in its second year, took place at Kilworth Springs Golf Club, near Lutterworth in Leicestershire.

Twenty two teams took part, with a tough competition in favourable weather conditions eventually seeing the team from Barclays Bank run out as overall winners. The 'longest drive' competition was won by Geoff Lloyd of Retail Assist.

Kim Darton of Save the Children collected the cheque from Michael Hobbs, Chief Executive of Adams Childrenswear.

Borys Krywyj, Sales Manager, Retail Assist, commented: "The golf event was once again a major success and the sum raised will allow further support for the valuable work undertaken by Save the Children worldwide."
